- World Series — the end of season championship contest of the US Major League Baseball, played in October each year.
- Premier12 World Championship — a new international baseball tournament starting in 2015.
- World Baseball Classic — an international baseball tournament started in 2006 and held every 4 years. It is the first major baseball tournament to feature professional players from the major leagues around the world including the MLB.
Previous Events
- World Cup — The IBAF World Cup is an international baseball tournament which has was held from 1938 to 2011.
- Olympics — baseball has long been played at the Olympic Games, mostly as a demonstration sport. In 1992 it became an official sport, but then dropped from the official program after the 2008 Olympics.
