  • Afro-Asian Games — was an international sporting event between African and Asian countries held in 2003.
  • AGBU Games: European, South American and World Games events for Armenian people around the world. Held from 1955 to 2012.
  • ALBA Games: a multi-sport event organized by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas, held from 2005-2011.
  • Arab Games for the Handicapped (also called the Arab Paralympics)
  • Arab School Games — sporting event for school children, held from 1949-2012.
  • Arafura Games — hosted in Darwin, Australia, for nearby nations. (discontinued)
  • Argentina Centennial Games - held in 1909 in Buenos Aires, Argentina
