The Palestine national football team has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup. They have participated in all the qualification stages since for the tournament since 2002, but have yet to secure a spot in the final competition.

  • A match against Afghanistan in 2011 at the Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium was the first World Cup game ever to be played at home in the Palestinian territories. It was a first round match of the Asian Football Confederation qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
