Choctaw Stadium is an American multi-purpose stadium in Arlington, Texas, between Dallas and Fort Worth. The stadium was originally called The Ballpark in Arlington. As the ballpark of Major League Baseball team the Texas Rangers from 1994 through 2019, it was called Globe Life Park, and since the departure of the Rangers and subsequent reconfiguration it has been renamed Choctaw Stadium

The stadium first opened in April 1994. It has a current capacity of 48,114. The record attendance is 52,419, achieved on October 30, 2010, for Game 3 of the 2010 World Series against the San Francisco Giants.

  • At the first game at the ballpark in1994, a spectator was posing for a picture while intoxicated, and fell 35 feet over a railing in right field, fracturing several bones and causing the team to raise the height of the railings.
