The AFL Grand Final sprint is an annual event which usually takes place at half-time of AFL Grand Final. It was first held in 1979. There has also been a kicking competition. Since 2021, there has also been a women's sprint event.

2005 Brett Deledio Richmond

The winner of the 2005 sprint was Brett Deledio of Richmond. He won a cheque from Gillette for $5000. 2nd was Daniel Bell (Melbourne), 3rd Shannon Byrnes (Geelong)
