The new sport of Octagon Sand Soccer was created by Jakob Haskell from Melbourne, Australia, in August 2017. It's a mix of UFC and Beach Soccer.

In Octagon Sand Soccer you go in an octagon, like UFC. Then there is a small gap for the goal, which you try to score in. You can bash each other up, but 5 seconds on the floor only. Deliberate handballs, are, 1 minute off, then 5, then off for the whole game.

  • No headlocks
  • 3-a-side
  • 1 keeper on each team

Equipment Required

  • Octagon shaped sand pit (like a Gaga pit).
  • Soccer ball
  • Shoes or no shoes, depends on what you want
