The Ballon d'Or award is an annual football award for the best international player from the previous year. Between 2010 and 2015 the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA Player of the Year awards were merged to create the FIFA Ballon d'Or.

Below are the nominees in the final order after voting for the 2013 award. The winner was Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo, ahead of Lionel Messi. This was the second of Ronaldo's five Ballon d'Or awards. See the list of all Ballon d'Or winners.

During the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or presentation they announced a new award, called the FIFA Ballon d'Or Prix d'Honneur. The first ever award went to Brazilian legend Pelé, who was also at the ceremony to present the year's Ballond' Or to Cristiano Ronaldo.
