Here are the top-paid women athletes from around the world for 2017-18 according to the figures from Forbes Magazine. Serena Williams again was the highest paid female athlete in 2018, despite only winning $62,000 - the rest of her earnings are from endorsement deals. There were no women in the list of the top 100 highest paid athletes for 2018. In 2017, Serena Williams was the only female to make the top 100 list of all athletes, coming in at 51. This was a result of her missing much of the year to give birth to her first child. Tennis players took up eight of the top 10 slots.
