1997 Copa América in Bolivia

The 1997 Copa América was held in Bolivia. It was the 38th edition of the tournament.

The tournament saw the participation of the ten CONMEBOL nations—Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela—along with invited teams Mexico and Costa Rica.

In the final, Brazil emerged victorious by defeating Bolivia 3-1, clinching their fifth Copa América title.
