Freestyle footbag one of the disciplines of footbag sport in which players perform several types of tricks with the bag. The objective of the sport is to continuously perform tricks without dropping the bag.

Some of the most common elements of tricks performed are kicks, stalls, spins, kneeing, and jumps. The sport can be played individually or in pairs.

In freestyle footbag competitions, there are different codes in which players compete, which are

  • Routines - Players perform a 90 second routine to a music and are awarded points.
  • 30 Second Shred - Players perform tricks for 30 seconds and are judged on technical aspects.
  • Sick 3 - Players have to combine three difficult tricks in the best way possible.
  • Sick Trick - Players have to perform the most difficult tricks as a single move.
  • Rippin' Run - Two players compete head-to-head to perform tricks and the winner moves to the next round.
  • Circle Competition - Competitors are divided into four player circles, who perform tricks till all players are eliminated except one.

The Footbag World Championship is a major annual international competition held for the sport where competitions are conducted for both men and women.
